Expomin is Latin America's largest mining trade show with more than 1,100 exhibiting companies: suppliers of technology, equipment, machinery, and accessories. Suppliers from approximately 30 countries and 10 national pavilions are major participants at Expomin.
Among the 5 major mining countries in Latin America, Chile is the second most important destination for exploration spending. It is estimated that Chile alone will invest around US$21 billion in copper mining from 2009 to 2013.
