FleetControl

Wenco’s Fleet Management System is a realtime equipment monitoring and control system that continuously tracks the location and status of the equipment, its operator, and its associated mining material. This can include automatic dispatching that optimises truck deployment to shovels and also ore grade control that ensures the targeted ore grades are delivered to the indicated delivery points.

FleetControl is a user-friendly and intuitive interface that provides information and control of all equipment activity in the mine, as well as easy access to reports, material information and more. The application has 3 choices of screens for the dispatcher to use; The Shovel Column Screen, The Shovel-Dump Screen, and The Shovel-Dump-Shovel Screen.

BenchManager

BenchManager is a high precision GPS equipment tracking system that provides; elevation, gradient, cut/fill and safety information for dozers and graders; elevation monitoring, safety, ore quality control, and dig limits for excavators, backhoes and loaders, and cut calculations while loading for scrapers BenchManager uses onboard graphical real-time displays that show equipment orientation over the mine plan files. Dig block coordinates, ore quality information, and digital terrain model files (DTM) are sent to BenchManager from the host computer system, and work performance data is returned from BenchManager to the office application, BenchView.

Wenco’s BenchManager application improves operator efficiency, increases equipment productivity, increases safety and lowers cost through technology.

MineVision

The Real-Time Window displays a map of the mine and simulates the movement of mine vehicles throughout the mine. The Wenco system continually monitors the position of mobile units in the mine site and updates the real-time map to show equipment unit positions.

MineVision displays selectable maps of haul roads and other features in the mine, superimposed with a dynamic representation of equipment location and status. MineVision imports the mine’s .dxf file from the autocad program or mine planning system, and overlays haul roads, equipment icons, locations, equipment status, GPS addresses and dump locations. This visual representation of the mine readily shows the deployment of equipment and helps for quick identification.

Support Equipment Tracker

Support Equipment Tracker monitors the location, activity, status of support equipment, auxiliary equipment, in the mine using GPS and digital inputs from onboard sensors. Hatrdware installed in all support equipment to automatically determine activity and status. Operator has control for login, status change, messaging, delays, downs, and fueling information.

Dispatchers can view equipment on FleetControl and MineVision and have control to change statuses and assign activity to cost centres, costs codes, cost allocation, project cost. WencoHealth

Messages or alarms generated from OEM health monitoring systems are received at Wenco’s onboard hardware platform via one of numerous interfaces, serial, canbus, digital, ethernet, usb.

The information is then broadcast over the broadband wireless network to the central system at the mine office. Polling and Streaming of Onboard Sensors. The maintenance department has the ability to select the appropriate parameters from an individual piece of equipment and poll for the current values.

Downtime Management. Track the critical path of “down” equipment until the machine is made operational again. With Maintenance Monitor the maintenance department is responsible and accountable for recording all statuses, events and action details for down equipment.

The ultimate goal is the ability to facilitate Reliability Centered Maintenance at the mine sites and to assist the mines in preventative maintenance and asset management. HCM has made advancements with their eService and InteLens products in this regard. Combining their experience with heavy machinery, Wenco’s expertise in data gathering and reporting, and the signed reciprocal agreements in place between major manufacturers Hitachi and Cat to share data is the first step in achieving these goals.

WencoDB

Comprehensive SQL COmpliant Database

The Wenco system includes the WencoDB database, a comprehensive, SQL compliant database of all static and transactional data recorded by the Wenco system during its realtime operation. WencoDB records its data at the highest possible resolution, such as individual haul cyles and discrete events which occur at each machine. Freedom of Information. Available in MS SQL Server, WencoDB is based on an open 3rd party database with the inherent ability to import and export data, using built-in SQL Server tools. In addition, Wenco's database editors give the user the ability to perform exports of individual tables in various formats (Excel, HTML, or text files that are delimited by commas, tabs or any other character).

Intranet Reporting. ViewPoint is a web application that allows for report and document management from WencoDB. Users can log on to their local intranet to access reports and documents that are automatically scheduled, generated and posted to the ViewPoint interface.
