Sale, trade show heat up Wenco's business in India

December 2, 2016

KOLKATA, INDIA (December 2, 2016) — With a new system sale and a big splash at a trade show, Wenco is growing more popular with Indian miners every day.

Leading up to our System 6 preview at MINExpo International 2016, Wenco secured a major contract with Montecarlo Limited. One of India's largest private construction companies, Montecarlo runs production at Mata No Madh, a lignite mine near Gujarat's border with Pakistan.

Now, they can operate simpler, smarter, and safer thanks to their Wencomine fleet management system and its PitNav navigation plug-in. Our flagship suite of applications gives miners total control over every piece of their operation. With a few clicks of a mouse, dispatchers can send assignments to operators, locate equipment, track machine health, and more. PitNav adds turn-by-turn navigation to the system, keeping every truck on a steady path from bench to dump.

Montecarlo are methodical in their purchasing, taking time to evaluate many solutions. Even so, they leapt at Wenco's systems with their simple, easy-to-use technology.

"This deal has invigorated us and reaffirms Montecarlo's ethos of applying and using the highest quality technology in the market," says Uday Banerjee, VP (Natural Resources) of Vareli Tecnac, Wenco's affiliate in India. "This partnership is an amazing step forward in helping us grow the industry while creating more partnerships, initiatives, and growth in the field."

Our latest implementation came in time for 2016's International Mining and Machinery Exhibition (IMME), India's largest mining trade show. Every two years, IMME draws over 400 presenters and 10,000 visitors from Asia and around the world to New Town Eco Park in Kolkata for days of discussion around the latest advancements in mining.

From November 16 to 19, we showcased our latest developments to halls full of Indian and international attendees. Our Avoca Intelligence Suite, Wenco Learning, and our forthcoming collision avoidance system, Fleet Awareness V2X, all generated strong interest in miners looking for practical ways to raise their sites' performance.
