RICHMOND, BC, CANADA (May 25, 2015) — Our relationship with our parent company, Hitachi Construction Machinery(HCM), has just grown stronger with a new exclusive distribution agreement in the Asia-Pacific region. As of April 1, 2015, all Wenco products and frontline technical support services throughout Australia, New Zealand, New Caledonia, and Papua New Guinea will be handled directly byHitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA).
Since 2009, Wenco has operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of HCM. Through this arrangement and our acquisition of Automated Positioning Systems last year, we have gained significant ground in Australia thanks to major projects such as Roy Hill, Maules Creek, and Stanwell. With exclusive sales distribution and technical support through HCA, we expect to further increase our foothold in this region.All sales, operations, parts, and support will now occur through HCA's numerous branch offices across the Asia-Pacific region. The Wenco Brisbane facility will continue in operation with a stronger focus on system development, quality assurance, and certified hardware repairs.
