Wenco Fleet Management System selected for Meandu mine in Eastern Australia

RICHMOND, BC, CANADA (March 2014) —Wenco International Mining Systems Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has been selected to supply fleet management and high-precision GPS solutions for the Meandu coal mine in Eastern Australia.

The Meandu mine is located 24.8 kilometers south-east of Kingaroy in the South Burnett region and supplies the adjacent Tarong power stations with up to seven million tonnes of coal each year via a 1.5 kilometer conveyor.

Wenco systems will be installed on 44 vehicles including dozers, drills, excavators, shovels, graders, scrapers, haul trucks, and water trucks.

Ongoing customer service for the Meandu mine will be provided by Wenco's new Brisbane office. "Our new location handles both tech support and sales, and has been set up to keep pace with regional growth and ensure we can provide our clients with quality after sales support," said Rod Tayler, Wenco's Eastern Australia Sales Manager.
