VANCOUVER, BC, CANADA (October 29, 2015) — Wenco International Mining Systems is delighted to announce our new sales office located in Lima, Peru.
Previously, our customers throughout South America received sales and support for their intelligent mining systems exclusively through our office in Santiago, Chile. With the advancing mine industry in Peru, Wenco has identified the need to provide dedicated in-country sales for that nation's customers of fleet management, machine guidance, mine safety, and other Wenco solutions.
Percy Gomez, account manager for the region, brings Wenco years of in-depth experience and knowledge about Peru's mining industry.
"Mining in Peru is primed to escalate very quickly in the next few years," said Gomez. "Having local representation in the country to develop the necessary relationships just can't be beat."
The Peruvian office continues Wenco's expansion into global markets. Last year, Wenco commissioned two additional offices in the United States — Tucson, Arizona and Tyler, Texas. Australia also saw increased attention from Wenco in 2014, with the acquisition of Brisbane-based company APS.
Wenco's ability to expand internationally — even in a mining downturn — comes from the continued industry acceptance of our solutions and the strong support of our parent company, Hitachi Construction Machinery. As a subsidiary of this industry leader and a part of the Hitachi Group of Companies, Wenco has the technical and financial prowess to advance smarter and more efficient approaches to mining throughout South America and the wider world.
