BRISBANE, QLD, AUSTRALIA (October 16, 2015) — Hitachi Construction Machinery Australia (HCA) has recently completed a successful deployment of the Wencolite Fleet Management System (FMS) at Saracen Metals' Thunderbox Mine in Western Australia.
The key drivers behind Saracen selecting the Wencolite FMS included the ease of use for both operators and managers, onboard operator based KPIs to allow real time tracking of key production activities and the ability to utilise the available 3G communications network for the collection of all FMS data.
"Through the implementation of the Wencolite FMS we have been able to maintain an efficient mining operation through the accurate collection of operator based KPI data. By focusing on key activities in the mining process we can provide supervisors and individual operators feedback in real time on how they are performing for the shift as well as present them with a summary of same data in a miniature performance review from their previous stint on site when they fly in," said Matthew Antill, mining manager at Thunderbox Mine.
